2016 NYWA - NY Enterprising Women Mentoring Tea

New York Women’s Agenda (NYWA) co-hosted its inaugural New York Enterprising Women Mentoring Tea on February 12, 2016 at Marymount Manhattan College. Despite the rather frigid temperature that day, the Mentoring Event attracted a large delegation of young girls who aspire to one day become entrepreneurs.
The packed meeting room resonated with enthusiastic young ladies who arrived ready to network and gather tips on navigating their journeys toward successful entrepreneurships from the panel of outstanding and accomplished women executives – Jennifer Vermont-Davis, President, NY Kids on Stage and a science teacher, Sandi Webster, Co-Founder & Principal, Consultants 2 Go and Susan Michel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Glen Eagle Advisors.
The panel discussion moderated by NYWA Treasurer Linda Hamilton (Linda Hamilton CPA) focused on a wide range of career paths that can lead to future success as a woman business owner. The speakers also shared with the audience stories of triumphs and professional challenges that seemed insurmountable, but through tenacity overcame.
Nina Kaufman, Esq., Kaufman Law, Board member from Enterprising Women Foundation (EW), the event’s co-sponsor, announced the scholarship winners -- Kiana McLeod and Courtney O’Beirne – both of whom will attend the EW Annual Convention in Miami, Florida. Congratulations to both girls!
Thank you to 5th Avenue Digital for the event photos.
